Once you have decided it is time to update your space, you will need to decide between renovating and remodeling. While the terms are often used interchangeably, there is a significant difference between the two types of projects.
A renovation project is an update to your space. Although cabinets, countertops, and appliances may change, the footprint of the room does not change. However, in a remodeling project, both the design of your space and the footprint of the room change.
Starting a project can be intimidating. At Aberjona Kitchen Center, we will help you create a design that matches your style and personality, as well as guide you through the aspects of your desired design.
The design process begins with a complimentary consultation. At this appointment, you will meet with one of our experienced designers and learn more about our products and services. We will spend time learning about how we can work together to create your space. While we do take walk ins for our consultations, an appointment is preferred.
Consultation
The initial consultation is when our designers will learn about you and your style. During this appointment, we will discuss the many lines we carry as well as what style and function you are looking for in your space. Bringing along a sketch and some design ideas can help us start the design process.
Design
Once we have the ideas of what you are looking for, and a layout of the space, we will start working on your design. Your next appointment will be the initial design review where we can discuss any changes or updates you feel would make the ideal space.
Finalize and Order
Once we have created the design that meets your expectations, we can start the ordering process. This will require all designs to be signed off and a deposit of 50%. If a design fee was required, this will be applied to your project.
Delivery
We will keep you informed of the expected delivery time frame. Delivery schedules can change due to uncontrollable factors such as weather, traffic, etc. Keep in mind these schedules can be flexible and are subject to change.
Designing for complex or large projects may require a retainer to view the designs online. This retainer will be applied to your order should you move forward with Aberjona Kitchen Center. Until that time, all designs will remain the property of Aberjona Kitchens.
